By defeating the Japanese team in the final by 3-1, the USA became world champion 2007.

ISF Press conference
During the tournament, the ISF started a worldwide campaign to get Softball back on the Olympic Games in 2016. They held a press conference to introduce and explain this campaign. Click here to watch the press conference.
